Hello!  Welcome to Lisa Land..

I am a 49 year old woman who has fought weight battles most of my life.  Over the past 5 years I have been losing the battle.  This past year, I have been diagnosed with weight related issues that, if not taken care of, will leave me with the same outcome as my Mother experienced..  She died of complications to weight related diseases at a very young age...

After a long fought battle jumping through every insurance hoop and bylaw imaginable, I have finally gotten the insurance approval that I need to have surgery for Lap Band.  Surgery date, July 13, 2011!


We live in rural Pennsylvania, out in the middle of nowhere!  Before moving here I was a true "city girl"..   I've grown to love living here in this peaceful, quiet, nitch of our own and now can't imagine myself living anywhere else..  Our home is situated in the middle of over fifty acres of land with a one acre pond.  The noisiest (and closest) neighbors we have are the family of geese that have come to live on our land, and you haven't lived until you've witnessed a drag race of Amish buggies "roaring" up the road..  Kids...


I am deeply religious, married  (30 years to the love of my life!) and have 2 grown children and 1 Grandchild.  These to me are the most important reasons I am taking this step into what I call, 

"The Rest of My Life"....
